@elextr it minimizes the effort of maintaining a fork of CTags. The closer our 
fork is to upstream, the easier it is to backport changes from upstream into 
our fork. Even if there's a bunch of stuff we don't use, it doesn't matter, if 
we don't use it then it shouldn't affect our resulting binary.
