I have built a working AppImage for Geany 1.29 that I have tested successfully on CentOS 7, Debian 8, Fedora 24, openSUSE 42.1, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 16.10 VMs. It was built on a CentOS 7 VM so it should work on any distribution of equal age or newer than this one (so Arch Linux, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Gentoo Linux, openSUSE ≥42.1, Sabayon Linux and Ubuntu, to name a few), provided it has FUSE set up. I'm mentioning this because you may wish to include it in your ThirdPartyPackages article https://www.geany.org/Download/ThirdPartyPackages.
