@pitrou without building from source it would become difficult to reliably find the max compression level value; the API call for it was introduced in 1.8.0 and before that the name of the `LZ4HC_CLEVEL_MAX` macro was changed without changing the version number. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
