I experimented a bit in https://github.com/apache/datafusion/pull/15057 with adding a per-file rewrite of filters. I chose filters instead of projections because there's existing mechanisms to push them down to the file level so I figured I'd "just" have to add the _per file_ aspect. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
