I think I figured it out, for some reason the wiki page of the projects not shown hasn’t been created. Once I create, it then shows up on the project list page.
I do have a lot of them to create. Not sure I could script this in the console or not. Or do something directly to the database. Thanks, for your help. matt *From:* [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] *On Behalf Of *Pawel Pierzchala *Sent:* Friday, January 03, 2014 4:53 AM *To:* [email protected] *Subject:* Re: [gitorious] upgrading? no restore in script directory for 3.0 Are those projects private? Maybe some users are missing from the collaborators list? Since you have been upgrading from pre2.0 to 3.0 a lot have changed in the gitorious configuration options. I would recommend reviewing config/gitorious.yml and comparing it against a recent version: https://gitorious.org/gitorious/mainline/source/6a8ba76a1f1fbdf81bf4ab29586abe4768a0f464:config/gitorious.sample.yml Pawel On Thu, Jan 2, 2014 at 6:24 PM, Matthew Bowman <[email protected]> wrote: I should have looked into this more. IT's not the repositories not showing up, it's the projects not being displayed on the web pages. Though they do show up by putting the project name in the URL. Not sure what the differences are between the projects that are being displayed and the projects that are not. However, if you are able to access the repositories via website, it means that the database was restored. Maybe some tables were incorrectly migrated? Were you able to commit to any of the repositories after upgrading to 3.0? Could you check if the repos have proper list of collaborators? If not, please try adding them again. How did you try to upgrade it? If you are not updating from 2.4.x version you should look into manual upgrading guide: https://gitorious.org/gitorious/ce-installer/source/74b2b7c5f673df789fec1b7050861f536db7b696:upgrading.md > > > > > > The restore command has been moved to bin/restore in 3.0. > > > Cheers, > Pawel > > > > On Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 5:37 PM, Matthew Bowman <[email protected]> wrote: > > > I'm trying to upgrade an old version of gitorious I have installed.. > > > > Available versions > > v2.3.2 Resolve issue with an older database migration. > > v2.3.1 Gitorious CLI scripts, unicorn/nginx support, bug fixes > > v2.3.0 Kerberos, custom hooks, diagnostics, backup, bug fixes > > v2.2.1 Makes the sync adapter work again > > v2.2.0 Private repositories, site-level wikis, bug fixes > > v2.1.1 Resolve a potential vulnerability in GitShell. > > v2.1.0 Graphs, HTTP API, blame, improved diffs, LDAP, themeability > > v2.0.2 Patches a XSS vulnerability > > v2.0.1 New messaging API, pagination improvements and themeability > > -> v2.0.0 First versioned version of Gitorious > > > > > > I don't see version 2.4 available. > > > > And also, I was hoping I could snapshot the old instance and restore it into 3.0 on another server. > > > > But, I do not see the restore command in 3.0. > > > > Matt > > > > -- > > -- > > To post to this group, send email to [email protected] > > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > > [email protected] > > > > --- > > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Gitorious" group. > > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to [email protected]. > > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out. commit 2564b19a186ce0012a1cb859de2b6d46fbad877a Merge: 2537d98 100dfa7 Date: Wed Feb 2 10:55:54 2011 +0100 So, far no approach I've taken has produce a stable setup. The best solution so far was to upgrade to 2.3.0, use snapshot and restore into 3.0 But the repositories are not shown on the pages, though they do work.
