I agree. The new icon does not look like a Mac OS X icon. The perspective is wrong (should be flat) and the colors are too simple (just R-G-B?). The cube does not convey any meaning about the app, so it has no advantage over the previous icon. As repositories are sometimes depicted as safes, maybe this might be a starting idea for a new icon? Maybe git's "+" and "-" might become part of the safe (the wheel to open often is a crosspiece, and the "-" might become a latch below that)? Just throwing some ideas around :-) Nonetheless I appreciate the effort as I like GitX very much! -Thorsten
