Being into photography, I understand the benefit of having AR with
optics - most if not all good camera lenses have AR coatings on them.

So, every glasses I've ordered before have had AR coating but it seems
that after about a year or so the coating seems to break down. It
could possibly be due to the lenses getting scratched up and the AR
coming off in the area with a scratch, but eventually a large area of
the lens loses its AR coating.

1. Can these online places recoat a lens? It'll probably be cheaper
to order a new lens (I need HI-Index since I have -5.25)
2. Do these coatings only last a certain time being that as we clean
it with soap & water it may rub off:?
3. Does using the microfiber cloths damge the AR coating?
4. AR coating pricing seems to have a wide range of prices - any
particular vendor have a better AR coating than the others (zenni vs
39$glasses vs O4L)?
