Any chance your new lenses are wider or squarer than you old ones? My Rx is weaker than yours, but I have always noticed distortion like that at the edges. It is more noticeable in square lenses than oval or round lenses, and the wider the lens, the worse it gets. Nature of the beast, laws of physics, and all that. Just my observations. But your problem might be different.
