I just spoke with EBD's Juanita through their live chat:

A: How quickly do the photochromic lenses change?
J: It takes 15 minutes exposure to the sun before it changes.
A: 15 minutes before it starts to change or before it's fully changed?
J: It is 15 minutes before it is fully changed.
A: The FAQ says "When you are indoors, the tint will be very light."
Is this "very light" tint something that's normally not noticable?
J: It is noticeable, approximately 10% tint.
A: So, for mostly indoor use, non-photochromic would be recommended,
right?
J: Yes, you're right.

Combined with an older post "How clear is clear" (http://
groups.google.com/group/glassyeyes/browse_thread/thread/
3a878e7fb5e1f88f/759a9300d7ceaf62), I'm staying away from EBD's
photochromics. I think I'll pay the extra for 39$'s Transitions.
