Wanted to reply again because I completely ignored your progressive
question.
I did wear progressives, but when I decided to try the online market,
I wasn't sure if I wanted to throw in that much money right away.
Instead, my first pair was regular glasses, to ensure I had my PD
correct. (plus my bifocal is only a +1.25 so I am not at a big
bifocal stage yet)
I ordered from Zenni once to check the PD. Once I got that set at a
low cost, I went to the regular lined bifocal. I was still "dipping"
my toes in to the online market with small bits of money. So I
ordered lined bifocals from Zenni and ended up spending less than $30
to make sure I had all the aspects of ordering correct. The only
mistake I made is in the shape of the glasses. Although I can see
wonderfully, so the PD, the prescription is all wonderful, the shape
is more than hideous and my entire family laughed when I wore them to
do paperwork around the house.
My next step was about size, shape since I had my prescription and PD
correct. I then went to 39dollar. As I mentioned I liked the print
feature and found the size, shape invaluable.
I am sticking with lined bifocals because you cannot always notice it
and it is ultimately cheaper. Makes it easier for me to get more
glasses, variety, in the long run.
But if you really want progressives, just make sure you get some
lenses that are large enough to give you a good progressive switch.
Wishing you luck! It is great fun and I think I could order a new
pair every day if my pocket was a bit heavier!
