I've got a -13 prescription and have had reasonably good luck with
Zenni. However, I have a +2.5 add for reading and Zenni -- and most
other low-price online vendors -- will only fill single vision orders
in "extreme" prescriptions. You can toss progessives or bifocals into
the cart on Zenni, but you'll get a follow-up message that you have to
change the order to single vision. (I last tried about 2 months ago,
so if this has changed, please let me know.) Zenni also would only
let me order full-frame glasses. I recommend that you stick to a
small, rounded lens and specify in the comment field that you do not
want them to "roll" the edges. I forgot to specify that on one order,
they rounded the edges of the lenses, and the glasses look like the
ends of Coke bottles. Ugly.

BestPrice Glasses said they would fill the prescription, but I'm
waiting to get a new prescription before trying them, because they
weren't cheap--there was an added price of 109.95 or 159.95 depending
on the index of the lens I selected.

If anyone knows of a good, cheap source for the extremely myopic
people who need a "reading add", please post it!
