I had the same prescription as you only two years ago. I decided to buy glasses even though the prescription was mild because I found I couldn't see that well in my classes due to the distance I was away from the board. Did I need them? Probably not. The question is, how do you feel without glasses? At half a degree in one eye, it's not that bad but my advice to you is to ask yourself, do I need them?
