I purchased a pair of rimless glasses from Global Eyeglasses. The lenses seem to be correct for my prescription when looking through the center. When I am looking through a point on the lens not exactly at the center, the image appears compressed. This effect is most pronounced at the edges.
I have previously ordered glasses with this prescription and PD measurement from another online store which were fine. The only thing that is somewhat strange about these lenses is that the front side is completely flat. Every other pair of glasses I have owned had lenses that curved on both the front and back sides. What could cause this effect? Lenses slightly off in prescription or cut to wrong PD measurement? Should I take them to an optician to have the prescription measured? Could the lenses need to be mounted at a different angle relative to each other (i.e., bridge bent slightly)? Thanks! -- Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
