Hi!

Well the eye doctor said that the last time I went there (which was 5
years ago) they put prism's in. I loved those glasses! Then I moved
and went to someone else and there were no prisms in it but they
seemed fine. So yes he did a special exam and such.

I had severe strabismus as a child and eye drops for 11 years to
correct it. I was a preemie (almost 3 months early in 1966 which
wasn't that common) and had some issues probably due to that who
knows.

I did go back to him and he re did the exam and we talked about what
might work. So after that exam he re ordered another right lens that
shifted to:

Sph: -1.75 Cyl -.50 Axis 107 with a Prism this time of 2 OT and he
changed the "seg" height of the progressive to 17 instead of 18.

I can say the left lens is fine..no problem. Strange to get used too
put just fine. It's the right one that is the problem. The lens isn't
in yet but I'm hoping this helps.

And, as a side note in case anyone else searches for prisms in this
forum I can tell you eyebuydirect said they would do prisms for $19 in
the lenses when I sent them my prescription. That's very reasonable!
I'll update once I get the new lens

I will say that overall my eyes are less tired and I'm not straining
as much. However the throwing up lasted 5 days....now I'm just with
the nausea at 1 1/2 weeks out. I do love how I can look up and see and
look down and see..it's a whole new world.

Reading a regualr book is very tough but reading my Kindle is great.
The only other problem is that the computer remains an issue due to
blurriness but maybe the new lens will help that...I told him it felt
to me like the corridor was just wrong...he said it could be..because
when I turned my head to the left a little bit it was much better.

This whole progressive with prisms thing seems like a nightmare!
