Don't have one of those here, but I'll keep that suggestion in mind if
I move.

When I was a kid, an optometrist opened up a vision shop in a nearby
mall. It was a small place, but it did well and he started expanding,
even having 2 stores in the same mall, and opening new branches all
over town. However, as his company got bigger and he got richer, he
got more interested in making money than he did in providing good eye
care, and the place went down hill. We know he fired at least one
optometrist because she wouldn't rush exams to produce the volume he
company wanted.

As for glasses, my sister had more than one pair of glasses made wrong
there, as did my parents. We were loyal customers from when he first
started the company, but later decided to take our business
elsewhere. Although I'm not against an optometrist opening a chain of
vision shops and becoming a millionaire, I am against doing it by
cutting corners and providing low quality care to the patients. I
don't know how the place is now, since I don't live in that city
anymore and that optometrist has since died, but I do know the company
still exists. Hopefully it changed hands and new owners cleaned
things up, but I doubt it. Probably not much better than
Lenscrafters.
