I was hoping for someone like supplier/optician James Dill to write, but he seems to have disappeared. The email address I have for him hasn't worked in a very long time.
I would have hoped that Ira would know something about getting hardware by now, too. With eyeglasses so cheap, he probably just chucks them and buys a new pair when something gets loose. I could simply not worry about those plastic washers with little sleeves, and go with simple tiny metal washers. I have a lot of those salvaged from wrecked rimless pairs. I tend to kill the center part after making too many adjustments to the nose pieces. I've ended up that way with a bag of spare temples. But still, in general, it would be good to know where to buy tiny screws and washers in small quantities at a moderate price. I don't want to spend $10 or $20 and get 10 lifetimes' worth. I want to spend $3 to $5 and get 5-10 years' worth. -- Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
