You should also get your new pair tested somewhere to make sure it's
correct. The astigmatism prescription is so weak that if it's not just
right and at the correct angle, it could cause some trouble. I
wouldn't be surprised if your need for that kind of correction would
fluctuate, anyway.

And here's a very inexpensive thing to try to keep your eyes from
getting worse, and it may improve them. Your prescription is so weak
that you probably don't need it for close work or computer work. You
could try weak reading glasses for close work, maybe a pair of +1.00's
from a dollar store. Or you could get a pair of +0.75's online. I
don't think you can get +0.75 at a dollar store or drugstore, but
maybe you can. That could increase your comfort with close work, and
may even gradually reduce your nearsightedness. I'd also suggest a
pair of glasses at maybe -1.00 or -0.75 for TV watching or most use
except where it's critical, like driving and especially night driving.
(I'm leaning toward eliminating the astig part in the extra pair.)

My full prescription is about -6.75, and I use various glasses between
-5.75 and -6.50 for most activities. My full prescription feels too
strong for sitting at the computer, even though I sit pretty far back
from the monitor. I know the full prescription is correct, though,
because it works when I drive, and weaker ones make it harder to read
signs.
