I will have some kind of data connection from Openreach, initially FTTC, and 
most suppliers are able to port my existing number near the end of my landline 
contract.
Plexatalk is a new company that charges £4 per month for 100 minutes domestic 
call time, OK for a trial, while £6 for 250 minutes would be more realistic
Zadarma supply virtual numbers, but few details, possibly ideal for spammers
A&A are a known reliable company, 
Communityfibre.co.uk supply FTTP to my sister, and will only supply a pre-
configured Grandstream VOIP to analogue converter with their phone service.
BT companies insist that their modem is used as a converter.
