It would make most sense if there were several tracks that the game would shuffle through, like in other RTSs, rather than one looping track (which is what I hear in my, probably old, version of Globulation). If that were the case, I would/will give my songs proper "endings," rather than the abrupt one in that song (which is meant for looping).
