I am _so_ looking forward to an opportunity to refi the current
mortgage on the niece's and nephews' future.
At present we have a negative-amortization adjustable-rate reverse
annuity mortgage that is letting us buy anything we want with the cash
flow; this is good for about thirty more years with a balloon payment
coming due anytime thereafter, and interest calculated based on a
1,000-year payment schedule. But the total amount owed keeps going
up.
Can we do better than this? We'd prefer no points and no cash payment
required.
It's a very nice planet, I'm sure the assessor will agree its value
hasn't dropped in the last hundred years or so. Well maintained.
