Sunlight is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short
distance from a place with high insolation and low cloudiness.

Solar thermal is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short
distance from a place with high insolation but relative cloudiness.

Wind is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short distance
from a place with high average wind velocity in a predictable direction.

Geothermal is probably the most obvious if you live in at a relatively short
distance from a place with short drilling distances to thermal upwellings,
or a high temperature differential betweeen average ambient air temperature
and average sub-surface temperature.

Wave is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short distance
from a coast line.

Tidal is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short
distance from a coast line with a restricted ocean inlet.

Ocean thermal energy capcity (OTEC) is probably the most obvious if you live
at a relatively short distance from a place with high differential between
ocean surface and sub-surface temperature differential.

Wood is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short distance
from a forest.

Biogas is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short
distance from a source of digestable biomass.

Biomass is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short
distance from agricultrual debris.

Hydroelectric is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short
distance from a waterfall.

Nuclear is probably the most obvious if you live at a relatively short
distance from a major city of 1 million or more population.

Did I forget any?
