> > Did I forget any? > Petrol Algae seems to be promising. This company here, I think got bought by some Chinese company. There's a video here http://www.petroalgae.com/media.php
Continental was the latest airline to run a 2 hour test flight, one engine on a mix of algae and weed (jatropha), and the other on regular jet fuel. The pilot said the algae jatropha mix engine had more fuel left in it. http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-biofuel8-2009jan08,0,761065.story Not that you forgot anything Don, as this would probably go under biomass. Just running this by to see if anybody has heard more news on the Algae front, so far I know of 3 companies Petro Sun, Petro Algae and Saphire Energy, that are working on it. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Global Change ("globalchange") newsgroup.
