You're right Larry, However, the sensationalizing of cases like this leads the vast expanse of ignorant American's to conclude that our little "unregulated" airplanes pose a serious threat to their lives. And out of hysteria they demand more, and tighter, government restrictions on our activities. Never mind that the new regulations do not, in reality, make anyone safer. (because the threat was never more than a perception) All that matters is that some action was taken. And besides, what harm was done? None really. Because the new laws don't affect them. They only see the "positive". So, the people are happy because they are now protected. Washington is happy because they've been able to exercise a little more control. And the media is happy because they started it all, proving how mighty and necessary they truly are. Great day for Liberty. Mike -----Original Message----- Do you think anything is different here. The media has always been trying to sensationalize the events of the world. I remember 30 years ago, down in a little cow town in central Utah, a mud slide broke the main line to our water supply. This was national news. I had suppliers from all over calling me to see if I was still in business, because they thought the slide had wiped out the entire town. The news is what the news is, and they will take advantage of anything to make a splash.
