----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- I have a 46 C/D with 990 hours on it. The Goodyear brakes just started pulling to the left (right brake not holding). My mechanic and I removed the brake housing and pucks. We cleaned all the parts and the pucks were in good shape. We replaced the O-rings and bled the brakes. The only thing he noticed was some pitting (perhaps corrosion) on the inside of the housing. Anyway, after reassembling and bleeding they still pull to the left (right not holding). He thinks I need to replace the housing. Now I know the Goodyear brakes aren't even as good as Fred Flintstone's feet, but I hardly ever use them (long runway) except for runup. Lately I've had to do my runup while doing a circle to the left on the taxiway. People are beginning to talk! My question is does the master brake cylinder proportion the fluid evenly ALL the time or could this be the culprit? Should I buy a new housing? I see Univair has them but does Skyport? How much do they cost? It's Saturday so no one was there to answer my price questions. Does anyone have one of these sitting around at a reasonable cost? Thanks in advance.
