My question is does the master brake cylinder proportion the fluid evenly

Ercoupe brakes are as simple as dirt. The master cylinder feeds a pipe
that runs
under the pilot's right buttock, where there is a tee that 'proportions'
the pressure
to the brakes.

Should I buy a new housing? I see Univair has them but does Skyport? How
much do they cost? It's Saturday so no one was there to answer my price
questions. Does anyone have one of these sitting around at a reasonable
cost? Thanks in advance.

The Cleveland conversion ain't cheap, but when you subtract the cost
and hassle of repairing your Goodyears, it looks a little better. When you

consider that it will reliably stop the airplane, even better.

The failure mode you're experiencing seems all-too-common, and may
be more dangerous than no brakes, because nothing will send you off
the side faster than one brake that works...only one. I'm not saying that
it won't happen with Clevelands, only that it is much less likely.

It's one thing the hang onto the Goodyears when they're working right,
but once they develop a problem... ...86 them!
