I carry a survival kit based on the one sold by Sporty's. Only I went to Walmart instead. It looks like a lot, but I only bring a little bit of everything. For the pills, I carry just a few of the individual sealed pouches or blister packs, not bottles and I repackage everything in ziploc backs to keep out moisture. A friend of mine who spent 25 years doing SERE (Survival, Evasion, Rescue, Escape) for the Airforce worked on it with me. It weighs about ten pounds.
