Harry:

It seems to me that if there was enough fuel oil in the gas to grow algae,
the algae would be the least of your problems.  Remember the problems they
had a few years back with 100LL that had Jet A mixed in?  My bet is there
was
some water trapped in the system and the go was growing in the water, not
the
fuel.
