Holes were put in rudders at the factory after s/n 2123. Before this owners or mechanics drilled the holes in accordance with the SMemo...35. Lots of coupes don't have any holes..... BUT, checking the rigging and drilling the hole in the proper place makes it easy to afterwards check the elevator travel....if you ever have to do so.
