And thanks for reminding folks what their Directors and Wing Leaders sometimes have to put up with. Not to mention Skip, who gets about 10x what the rest do. From type clubs up to the EAA and AOPA, aviation organizations seem to have one hell of a problem finding people willing to serve...much less to run against other candidates (I myself was drafted, thank you very much). I'm convinced that one of the major reasons for this shortfall is because, where there are 1000 decent wonderful people, there is some horse's ass like yourself who ends up absorbing about 10,000 times the energy that the wonderful folk give back. In a world full of kids' soccer games, wives and sweethearts (may they never meet), fishing, and oh by the way maintaining and flying a vintage aircraft, one often just says 'why would I want to bother?'
