Folks, Totally apart from the issue Greg and Wayne are debating, there is a fundamental lesson here for any of us who communicate with e-mail, whether at work or socially. E-mail's convenience is also its danger. Unlike telephone conversations and written letters, distributing an e-mail to literally millions of readers takes only an effortless moment of mouse-clicking. Passionate debates, especially, like this one, too often resort to using e-mail as a weapon because it's so quick and easy to do, there is no opportunity to cool off and reconsider. There is no such thing as a "private e-mail"! Once you click "Send", it is out of your control. Don't say anything in an e-mail that you do not want the entire office, organization, or world to read!
