another thing to think about: what kind of a relationship do you have with the owner of the Coupe, and what sort of a reputation does he/she have? on the surface, this does seem like "a heck of a deal", but any salesman will tell you (speaking of a competitive product, of course) that any deal that seems too good to be true .... usually IS ... you mention that the brakes need replacement -- do you mean it needs new brake pucks? or do you mean it needs a Cleveland conversion ? vast difference in $$ between those two ... I too bought a Coupe that needed some work, and both the seller and I vastly underestimated the amount of work needed and the $$ nece$$ary to get it safely back in the air -- particularly since I shoot my mouth off enough that people think I actually CAN fix airplanes, instead of realizing that I'm mechanically dis-inclined and must pay someone else to do it if this is an old friend of yours that you trust, and who trusts you, that is one thing, but if not ... do stop and think -- what is the owner getting out of this, and why is the deal so sweet ? here's hoping that it all works out well -- and that another Coupe gets regular exercise Candy N93775 -- which runs but is still grounded due to paperwork (either the FAA's fault or mine, we have a difference of opinion) ================================================================== TO UNSUBSCRIBE go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm
