Yes. I disconnect the hose to the heater box on the firewall in summer.
The heater box does not close properly due to poor design and leaks
heat.

Nosewheel shimmy is mainly due to wrong pressure in the front tire. 17
PSI is what you want. 
Too much pressure ---> shimmy ; Too less pressure ---> shimmy.
Also the bolts holding the nutcracker have to be really really tight.
Slightly lose and ---> shimmy.
