I am looking to purchase a 415C project to restore however I notice the dataplate for the airframe is missing. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations on getting a new one? As far as I can tell the aircraft has never been wrecked. I contacted Univair and they told me to contact the FAA to get a letter to send to Univair to get a new dataplate. The local FSDO said they do not have an agreement in place with Univair and suggested that I contact an owners club. Another thing that doesn't help matter is that the airframe logs are also missing.
