On sloshing compound. I don't "THINK" I've got sloshing compound floating loose. I saw no signs of it when I had everything apart during re-paint & annual. That doesn't mean that there isn't some back in a corner that had been put there 20 years ago to seal a leak. However everything looked bright & shiny and all I saw was sealing compound in the seams. I didn't see anything in any of the strainers either. When I get it back I'm simply going to start taking stuff apart until I find something. I'll keep everyong posted. I am leaving tomorrow to go get it and hope to be back in a few days. Cheers: Paul PS I've bounced this over the instructors of the part 147 school I attended and got some good ideas. These guys have seen a lot of stuff. Some ideas are corrosion in the aluminum tubing at a bend causing a partial blockage. A flap of rubber inside a hose at a nipple that can cause a block. Bugs, something hiding at the bottom of a tank. I had the wing tanks off and examined then thoroughly, but not the header tank. Anyway I'll let all know what I find. I'm glad I had a place to test it that lent itself to a safe landing in case of a complete failure. I am pretty sure it was fuel related and have a starting place. Around here I wouldn't have dared try to fly it after the first hesitation---Pine trees don't make for a soft landing. <G> ================================================================== TO UNSUBSCRIBE go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm
