Darwin.
Congrats to the Coupe. I did similar tests like you did a few years ago
with my then just acquired
Coupe.
Here an addition to the stall test. The Coupe stalls at around 38 MPH in
standard conditions and full
load.
As freezing as it is now up there the conditions improve (air thicker)
That improves engine performance and prop performance as well.
Engine gets more O2 to burn, prop has more to grip on and the added drag,
thicker air gives to the
airframe is neatly compensated by the fact that it can stay better afloat
in thick air.

All that changes drastically when you try to show a friend how stall proof
your Aircraft is on a nice
sunny summer day - whoop down it goes in a sudden stall - at least mine
did that, but I've got the
split elevator...

However , I am reading similar values with my C-85 .
By the way . The Ercoupe Information Letter No 3 lists various engine
speeds and the cruise
performance in combination with Fuel consumption for the C-85. The RPM
listed goes down to 1825 RPM ,
assuming 50% performance?.
Airspeed reading then 75 MPH....
If you don't own the Ercoupe Memoranda and Service Bulletins yet, go get
them either from Skyport,
Ebay, Univair, Aircraft Spruce (in order of favorablity). Plus the Service
Manual.
While it is good to ask a question on this forum here, having a book with
drawings when sitting under
the airplane can't beat anything.

Good Flights.
