I have said it before and will say it again. A friend of mine had an
Ercoupe
and his had metal wings and his empty weight was approximately 40 pounds
heavier than mine, which has fabric wings. They all have paint and it
depends on which kind and how much you use will determine how much of a
weight increase. I was told once that a paint job on a B-52 added about
900
