Percy: I was told by an instrument repair shop that they did not like to
work on the tachometers. Something about how the cases were put together
and
lack of ability to guarantee accuracy I think. Then I asked about the
cost,
and was told 150 to 200 dollars, which is as much as a new one.
I guess I should have gotten a second opinion, however, I must
admit
to laziness and have gone to buying new ones when required.
