Percy. I fixed mine. But my tach was not wiggling, but almost quit working altogether. While I waited for the new one I ordered, I took the old one apart and checked the inner parts. I saw a shaft fallen out of it's original place, put that one back and the tach was working fine again. But not for long. The instrument, although German made was of a lausy quality (made in the 90ties). It took me 3 more trys to make fix last long. I would think older tachs are of a better construction.
