The first sentence illustrates the Biggest Benefit of a type club - any
type club.
The second sentence invites the question: "Why?" IMHO, the Cessna 150,
warts, wrinkles, and all, has the singular advantage over the Ercoupe in
that
it can be RENTED. I would not rent mine because most pilots a) don't know
how to fly it and would prang a landing (only one is needed!) due to high
speed
sink on final b) the demand is not sufficient to pay for advertising,
insurance,
and the fixed costs of such an operation. I had a Cessna 150 in a "Lease
Back" program for 4 years, and that taught me A LOT about the business
side of aviation.
