Since May 2013, I find that my filters for gmail addresses now catches
chats. It's great. I like to keep myself busy, so yay, I get to wade
through lots and lots of chats before actually finding the email messages
that I actually want to read.

Keep up the good work. While you're at it, may I suggest that you tweak it
some more to catch some random email messages that don't match the filter,
for no good reason. Because, you know, I like to keep myself busy.

I used to be able to exclude the chats by putting -"Chat with" in the
Subject field. That no longer works. Using -in:chats doesn't seem to work
either (except as a manual search).

There has GOT to be a way to say *I WANT TO LABEL EMAIL AND NOTHING ELSE.
NO CHATS!!!*

In closing, MANY THANKS for cluttering a good thing. Keep it up. We need
more noise in our lives, we need to get less done, and we need to waste
more time looking for things that used to be easy to find. This new
improvement is an excellent step in that direction.
