I hope you had fun with your sarcasm, but since this is only a user's
forum, no one from GMail will get to read it.

I would think "-in:chat" would work, but since filters apply to messages
when they arrive, and "all simultaneously", I can see why they might not
work on filters to exclude.  I personally just have chat turned off, so
it's not a problem for me.
