I'm getting desperate. I got notice from Google that someone had
unauthorized access to my Gmail accout, with the recommendation that I
should change my password. I changed the password, but the new password is
not recognized. I went through the gmail password recovery procedure, which
said they would send directions to my alternate gmail address at Yahoo, but
18 hours later, no communication from the password recovery was received in
my Yahoo email account. I don't know where to go from here.

I haven't yet been asked for my password when I access gmail on my desktop
computer, so I'm okay there, for now. But I can't access any Google modules
from my cell phone, which is really bad. Eventually I know I'll be asked
for a password when accessing gmail from the desktop, and then my Gmail
account will be all gone, unless there is some remedy.

If anyone knows of a way to contact Google directly, or any other way to
recover or change that password, please let me know as soon as possible.

Losing the Gmail account would be a huge problem, because there are many
dozens of important things archived there (and there's no way to back them
up, or none I know of).

Thanks - Bill Hansen
