Hi, Thank you very much for your answer. Boolean Fragments applied on the overlapping Volumes (even if they didn't seem to overlap on the first view) healed my geometrie and I finally received a conformal mesh from my step import. So now I can go on with getdp.
Thanks and have a nice weekend, Fabian -----Original-Nachricht----- Betreff: Re: [Gmsh] Step Import Non Conformal Mesh Datum: 2017-08-14T08:27:37+0200 Von: "David Colignon" <[email protected]> An: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>, "Getdp, Gmsh" <[email protected]> Hi, If your volumes are somehow overlapping and give a nonconformal mesh, then you need to heal the geometry and you will probably have to reconstruct the volumes. But Gmsh version 3 gives you more powerful tools to edit the geometry, see http://onelab.info/pipermail/gmsh/2017/011515.html Regards, Dave -- David Colignon, Ph.D. 1er Logisticien de Recherche Université de Liège ACE - Applied & Computational Electromagnetics Quartier POLYTECH 1 - Montefiore B28 Allée de la découverte 10 4000 Liège - BELGIQUE Tél: +32 (0)4 366 37 32 http://www.ulg.ac.be/nic4 On 13/08/17 18:24, [email protected] wrote: > Good evening, > > First of all I want to thank Dr. Colignon and Prof. Geuzaine for their > answers to my question > http://onelab.info/pipermail/gmsh/2017/011502.html .
