I just checked in minimal configure and Makefile.am support for your
patch, which should make it easier to check in your changes. You can now
use --enable-gui=fb and --enable-renderer=agg. This should also let you
add GTK & AGG support later on like you mentioned.
This also checks the gui and renderer settings, and then doesn't execute
all the config tests. This definitely makes things faster depending on
the configuration. (like using AGG & your new framebuffer GUI support)
