Jerry: Very well put.
Ben: Very eloquent statement of the problem.
My recent posting to gnhlug about using [EMAIL PROTECTED] was somewhat
in frustration. I'm at the point where I'm spending too much time just
deleting GNHLUG messages! (I'm running imap over a 56K line, so I have
to wait for the list of mail to arrive, then each message to arrive
every time I select a message).
I'm more than willing to move gnhlug.org to another host(s) - but ONLY
IF
ITS BETTER ORGANIZED than what we have now. (I may even bow to the
wishes
of the majority if its not better organized.) I think Ben's suggestions
of a better network structure is worth deliberating at tomorrow night's
meeting. My only amendment to that is that we distribute the load to
those who are willing to do the work - [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or whatever we
decide) should go to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - along with a redirect for the web
page. [And what about archives?]
I think we have a lot of fodder for Wednesday night's meeting!
