I created NNHLUG because I enjoy watching things like this grow, due to the
'direct' efforts which I put forth, and others who help along the way.

I enjoy setting up majordomo, apache, etc....to support the efforts of
NNHLUG. I live about 130 miles north of Manchester, NH. I don't think
I'll be going to any meetings where I have to drive 260+ miles round trip.
So....I think to myself..."self.....lets have our own meetings in some
convenient place for me...and others around me".

I don't seem to have any problem communicating with other groups through the
gnhlug email list. When I want other groups to be aware of what NNHLUG is
doing I post to that email list, as well as the nnhlug email list.

That FACT that we ARE isolated should not mean that we can't have our own
groups, and communicate via the mediums that Linux and the Internet provide.

Perhaps instead of your view that segmenting off is a bad thing, as if
smaller groups are detracting from the big group, this segmentation is more
like "cells dividing, and GROWING".

Each cell then grows a bit more, and devides off.....but we're ALL still
part of the ARM or LEG.

I think that communication is a must.....but....on the other hand.....I'm
still just gonna have fun, and enjoy it all. GNHLUG, and NNHLUG, and SLUG,
and all the rest.
