In my opinion, it is already too late to give people adequate notice for such a meeting. Thursday is a holiday, Friday many people have off anyway, then there is the weekend, and then there is Monday the day in question. For people who read email at work and do not have remote access like I do (or simply have more of a life then I do), that is almost zero notice. I suspect attendance will reflect the amount of notice. It seems apparent to me at this point that any special event we have in December is not going to work well (if at all). I move that we immediately post a cancellation notice for any such events. Seconds? We can reschedule for January, when organizers, presenters, and places are less busy. That will also give organizers more time to organize things. -- Ben Scott <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | The opinions expressed in this message are those of the author and do not | | necessarily represent the views or policy of any other person, entity or | | organization.
