I agree with Ben. Although I don't have a steady schedule,
it makes it a LOT easier for me to plan my trips and if need
be, I can slip a day or two here and there either when leaving
or returning so as to make a meeting. Given that most of the
airlines close out their special fares two weeks before
departure, it would save me a lot of money, for example.

Also, technically speaking (and yes, I realize that this is
an actual religious argument :-), the 12 days of Christmas
start on Christmas Day and run through January 6th. Not that
we need an excuse to party anyway :-). I will be away
31 Dec - 4 Jan, however, but early January would be a dandy
time for a(nother) party anyway. I think it would also help
the members focus on what needs to be done as an organization
for the coming year.
