As I recall, the decision made at the last board meeting was for
two-signature checks. That is, checks printed such that there are
spaces for two signatures on the front, with the idea being that
without two proper signatures, the check is not authorized and should
not be paid.

(Whether or not signatures are actually given any scrutiny by the
banking industry before clearing the check being a separate issue.)

The plan is/was also for there to be a "pool" (my term) of possible
signatories, namely, the President, Secretary, and Treasurer. So no
one person can issue an authorized check, but any two people from the
"pool" can.

Where were you "single signature" people at the last board meeting?
(<-- Rhetorical.) :)
