I believe it's easy enough to setup mailman to require "Linux" in the body of the message. This would deal with both spam and non-linux job apps. Add a few other possible whitelist keywords (ie, Redhat, Fedora, Ubuntu, Suse, Python, Ruby, PHP) and in the rejection message specify that only job apps for Linux-related jobs are allowable...
